Memory Foam Sofa Bed Mattresses

I sell a lot of memory foam mattresses ranging from 8 inches thick and up.
They make excellent mattresses.

I used to sell memory foam sofa bed mattresses. It was a mistake.

The great part about memory foam is that you sink in, so you are "cradled". The bad part about memory foam is that bar also sinks in, but from below. Sadly, you and the bar will meet.

The mattress I made consisted of 2-1/2 of premium high density foam covered with 1=1/2 inches of memory foam. The high density was to provide a platform over the frame and the bar. The rest was, of course, memory foam.

The design had merit, but in the end my customers agreed it was a not good idea, They were rarely thrilled with the results.

For a regular (thick) mattress, memory foam excels, but for a sofa bed it's a gimmick that almost cuts it
